KABOBS AND GRILLED SHRIMP AND ALL THE SIDES TO GO WITH ! WE WERE EXTREMLY IMPRESSED WITH THEM THAT NIGHT ! THE FUNNY THING IS WE SHOWED UP ON SUNDAY AT OUR EVENT AND GUESS WHO WAS THERE WITH OUT EVEN KNOWING IT. YOU GOT IT ALL ABOUT CATERING . AGAIN THEY DID A WONDERFUL JOB FOR THE FELTON WEDDING ON 10- 10 - 10  AND SERVED CHIPOLTE STYLE BURRITOS AND TACOS FOR THE GUEST !  THE FOOD WAS AMAZING - BETTER THAN CHIPOLTE  THE GUEST WERE SAYING . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A CATER GIVE GINNY A CALL AND LET HER KNOW WE SENT YOU -

NICKALENA -   WHAT A FABULOUS PARTY - DID I SAY PARTY , I MEANT WEDDING - YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT IT WAS A FUN PARTY BECUASE ALL THE GUEST WANTED TO DO WAS DANCE - I LOVE THAT !  THE DANCE FLOOR WAS PACKED ALL NIGHT LONG AFTER WE GOT THROUGH ALL THE FORMAL STUFF. THE COUPLE  PICKED SOME GREAT MUSIC OUT FOR THEIR WEDDING FROM SOME HOT LATIN HITS TO THE SALSA MUSIC THEY DANCED TO AND THEN THE TOP 40. IT MAKES IT SO MUCH EASIER FOR A WEDDING DJ WHEN THE COUPLE MAKES GREAT CHOICES IN THE MUSIC SELECTION.

THE WEDDING WAS HELD AT THE MONTELUCIA RESORT AND SPA IN PARADISE VALLEY WHICH IS ALSO VOTED ONE OF THE TOP RESORTS IN THE COUNTRY #13 TO BE EXACT FROM TRAVEL AND LEISURE MAGAZINE . I WAS SO IMPRESSED BY ALL THE LITTLE THINGS THE STAFF DOES THROUGH OUT THE NIGHT TO MAKE THE EVENT GO OFF PERFECTLY. I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU ALL WHO ARE READING THIS - FOR THOSE OF US WHO SEE MANY DIFFERENT VENUES THROUGH OUT THE SEASON AND YEARS , WHEN YOU COME ACROSS GREAT SERVICE IT DOES GET NOTICED BY US VENDORS AND WE SHARE THAT !  ONE OF THE SMALL THINGS WHICH IMPRESSED ME THE MOST WAS ABOUT 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE BALLROOM DOORS OPENING - THE ENTIRE STAFF AT THE RESORT SWARMED THE ROOM AND STARTED SHINING THE WINE GLASSES ON THE ROOM SO THEY WOULD SPARKLE !  WHEN I SAY STAFF I MEAN EVERYONE - MANAGERS , SALES , BANQUETS, MAYBE A GOLF CART DRIVER WAS EVEN IN THERE !   THE STAFF WAS AMAZING AND FRIENDLY AND SO NICE THE ENTIRE TIME.

THE BRIDE AND GROOM DID SOMETHING THAT I SEE ABOUT ONCE A WEDDING SEASON AND THAT IS THEME YOUR WEDDING - IF YOU DO IT WELL  ITS GREAT ! THEY DID THE THEME HOLLYWOOD / MOVIE THEME.  THEY PLACED MOVIE POSTERS FRAMED THROUGH OUT THE ROOM AND THE FAVORS WERE LITTLE COOKIE OSCARS , THEY EVEN MADE THEIR OWN PLAY BILL . I WILL SAY THAT WAS THE MOST UNIQUE PROGRAM I HAVE SEEN IN ALL  MY YEARS IN THE WEDDING INDUSTRY . LOVED IT .

DURING COCKTAIL HOUR THEY HAD A ALL FEMALE MARIACHI GROUP PLAY FOR THE GUEST  TO TIE IN SOME OF THEIR LATIN HERITAGE . THEN RIGHT AFTER GRAND ENTRANCE THE COUPLE SUPRISED EVERYONE AND DID A SALSA DANCE FOR THE GUEST . tHEY ACTUALLY MET AT A SALSA EVENT . THE REST IS HISTORY .

ALLISON & THOMAS SAY I DO IN SEDONA ON OCTOBER 2nd  AND WE WERE THRILLED TO BE PART OF THEIR SPECIAL DAY ! I WAS NOT AWARE THAT I HAD MET THEM EARLIER AT A FRIEND OF THEIRS WEDDING I DID 3 YEARS AGO AND THATS HOW SHE FOUND US. THE WEATHER WAS NOT TO FRIENDLY TO US RIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING STARTED AND WE WERE WORRIED WITH THE BLACK CLOUDS AND THE RAIN THAT WAS COMING DOWN IF THE CEREMONY WOULD START ON TIME . THERE WAS A LITTLE BREAK IN THE RAIN AND THE GUEST WERE CARTED OVER TO THE CEREMONY SITE OVERLOOKING A GORGEOUS MOUNTAIN AND A LAKE WITH A WATERFALL . AS THE BRIDE REACHED THOMAS THE RAIN STARTED AGAIN AND THE WIND BLEW. THERE IS AN OLD WIVES TALE THAT IF IT RAINS ON YOUR WEDDING DAY IT WILL BRING YOU YEARS OF HAPPINESS !  IT RAINED ON MY WEDDING DAY SO I GUESS ITS TRUE !

JEREMY & ROSHANA SAY I DO

Jeremy & Roshana say I Do as the first couple for us in October this year !  They were married at Villa Siena on a gorgeous friday evening that started right before sunset.  The bride looked so gorgeous as she walked in the courtyard for her future husband to see.  It was nice to see how Jeremy is so in love with Roshana and during his vows he had a very hard time with  his emotions !  What a  amazing man Roshana you have found !

The Bride had these cute monograms or logos made for their wedding and they were used through out with the decor and the style  of their wedding -  This above picture is what you found as you were seated at the Ceremony Chairs - If you look close inside the flower holder you will see her monogram . The monogram was also displayed on her cake by Peice of Cake Desserts  and on her Photo Booth Favors by Lets Pose Photo Booths.

The Cake was amazing and created by Peice of Cake Desserts !

There was a first at this wedding that we love to see and wish we saw more ! The Bride did not ever leave the dance floor - She is a true dancer and loves music and loves to dance !  I think she could have danced all night with her friends and family if they would have let her stay all night !

Anyway we had such a great time working with The Villa Siena Team  - Pictured Below is Hope from Villa Siena and her lovely intern assistant .

THE KOPKE WEDDING - ARIZONA GOLF RESORT

We were so honored to be part of Tanya & Kyle's  wedding this past weekend at The Arizona Golf Resort in Mesa. The ceremony started at 6pm sharp and went off right on time . It was so  cute the bride was located off in the bridal suite right off the Ceremony Site where she could peak out the windows and see who was arriving - I think we caught her doing that a few times.  She was watching the Groomsmen and Kyle walk down the aisle for sure !

She had placed all the programs on the chairs and bubbles so when the guest arrived they had something to read and keep from the wedding ! Not to mention the bubbles  were a big hit with the kids.

The ceremony site was surrounded by these large palm trees that shaded the area.  If you have never been to the Arizona Golf  Resort it is a wonderful venue that has many locations for weddings to take place !

Ok Here comes the bride and her loving grandfather who raised her with his wife Gerry ! On a side note The Grandfather is an AMAZING singer . He did not sing live at the wedding so he could enjoy himself but he did provide 10 of his songs that were played at dinner !

      The Kiss is the best part of the wedding for us ! I love seeing the couples kiss after they know they are married and this is the first kiss as husband and wife !  

   They are off to sign the marriage liscense and make it official !  A few photos and they joined the reception for lots of fun and dancing -   The reception ended at midnight and I think everyone had a wonderful time !

Signature Cocktail - THE WEDDING TREND

Weddings are special events and a great way to celebrate this momentous occasion is with a couple of drinks! Here are two signature cocktails to enjoy on your special day:
Blushing Bride

• 1 oz. 10 Cane Rum
• 1 oz. Pama Pomegranate Liqueur
• ½ oz. Fresh squeezed lemon juice
• ½ oz. Mint-infused simple syrup

Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with mint sprig and lemon twist.
The Something Blue

• 2 oz. Hypotiq
• 2 oz. White Wine
• 1 oz. Ginger Ale

Combine ingredients in champagne flute and serve!

Make sure and also add a garnish for the look !

Wacky Wedding Guest - Think before you invite them most of them you have to invite

Ok so I saw this in a Bridal magazine from Dallas and I thought I would share with our brides and grooms ! There is always one person maybe two at a wedding who either drink to much , take off their clothes  ,yes I have seen that and just act plain crazy when they are at a wedding - Here are a few people you should think twice about before you invite

1. BridesMaids Weird Boyfriend -  You kind of have to since she bought the dress to be in your wedding even though you canht stand him - Anyone out there have this happening to them ?

2. Kooky  Wedding Planner - Put up with her its worth it and besides she your number one go to on your big day ! I hope you like her and the vendors you have hired like her !

3. Little Neice -  Hire Babay sitter and put her in the Bridal Suite when all the fun starts !

4. Fiance's Horny Ex - Frat Brother -  Sit him at a table with other single people or suggest that he bring a date so he doesn't offend any of your friends !

5. Cousin you Barely Know -  It will  go along way to make your family happy - Sit them at a table with family !

6. Wedding Hater - these chics are the ones who comments on everything you planned for your wedding and they think they know it all ! Also usually in a Love Rutt and sick of weddings !

7. Your Boss -  They decide your salary so you should invite them -

8. Drunk Uncle - This guest is usally the favorite one to watch - They have to be babysat all night and the family is usually shaking their heads as the night goes on !

Tina & Tony's - Fake Wedding Vegas Style

Ok Who has been to See Tina & Tony's wedding ? If you have not been or heard about this great show in vegas you have to make sure and plan a night when your there next time to see this show! I promised the fake catering dude that I would blog and tell my brides and grooms to go see it ! Its so funny and you really think like your at a bad wedding or just one that is really messed up - I could have picked another word but I will be nice ! They dont have a DJ role in it but a lounge singer who sings to popular tunes - I swear he looks just like Curtis Whipple in Phoenix ( DJ )   They have to meet becuase they could seriously be twins ! They also have this great couple one is the father of the groom and the new stop om or girlfriend is there as a guest and makes her self known ! The mother is super mad and calling her names - They even have a wedding cake which really was bad ! Anyway Please consider seeing this show next time your there ! Perfect for a trip with family or Wedding Industry people or newlyweds you will love it ! The shows plays nightly at The New Planet Hollywood Casino and the tickets are fairly reasonable ! We bought ours at Half Price Tickets on the Strip -

PHOTOGRAPHERS , DISC JOCKEY OR WEDDING OFFICIANT OR YOUR PLANNER -

MANY DATES ARE BOOKED OUT A YEAR OR SO IN ADVANCE AND SATURDAYS FILL UP FAST ESPECIALLY IN SEASON IN PHOENIX !  WHEN YOUR THINKING OF A VENUE OR A PLACE TO GET MARRIED YOU WILL NEED TO START A LIST OF WHATS INCLUDED AND WHAT VENDORS YOU WILL NEED TO BRING IN - HOW WILL YOU FIND THEM OR WHO IS GOOD THAT YOU WILL CLICK WITH AND WHAT TO BE PART OF YOUR SPECIAL DAY !

THE VENDORS SOMETIMES ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE VENUE  -

1. THINK ABOUT WHOS WEDDING YOU WERE AT LAST - WERE THE VENDORS AWESOME

2. ASK FOR REFERRALS

3. READ REVIEWS ON WEBSITES

4. INTERVIEW THEM AND ASK QUESTIONS

5. YOU MUST LIKE THE PERSON WHO WILL BE AT YOUR WEDDING

WEDDING GUEST DO's & DONT's

You have planned the most wonderful day for your future husband and your self and not to mention all the hard work and money it is to plan such a special day ! There are a few pet peeves that most people have and Im sure some of you can relate on wedding guest do's and dont's !

1.RSVP - Ok this is so easy and so important - Its so easy to take the time to mail the card back in , it even comes with stamp usually and an address so all you have to do is pop it in the mail !  One other thing the card is addressed to who is invited - If it says Mr. & Mrs. Smith - It means the 2 of you and not your neighbors or your kids !

2 - OUR BIGGEST PET PEEVE is RESPECT - The invitation gives a time  and location and usually the ceremony starts on time within minutes from the time posted on the invite ! If you are late then maybe just stay on the side and watch the Ceremony instead of walking in the middle of it !  Every now and then you have someone also recording a video just for fun or maybe they were asked to by a parent - Did you ever think if You are not a pro and don't know what your doing your going to be in all the professional photographers full photo images ! Its just crazy !  I see this all the time and I know the couple most likely never thought that the friend would be in the way but they are ! 

3. TREAT THE WEDDING as if it was yours.  - Be respectful of the special day the couple is having and make sure and now your limits. It does not happen often but a few times we have seen some guest get out of control and say strange things during the speeches or drink to much and fall down and they have to be rushed to the hospital. Just be careful and make sure your not the guest everyone is talking about and so and so's wedding.  Also one thing a bride really does not want to hear is how you would have done things ! Just compliment her and it will go along way !

QUINCE QUINCE QUINCETTA - SO MUCH FUN !

We had the honor to be part of Miss Anabel Lopez Quincetta last week ! A young girl from Seton High in the suburbs of Phoenix !  I thought it would be something that people who may not have ever heard of a Qunicetta or have been to one learn more about this Spanish culture or party that most young latin girls dream about growing  up !  A quince short for Quincetta is a party that is thrown when a young girl turns 15 and she celebrates coming of age or a coming out party ! There is a special mass usually in the catholic church that familiy and close friends will attend !  Sometimes the mass can be held outside a church but usually its held at the parish where the family attends !  Many traditions will pair up the girls with friends who are boys their age and they will dance a few custom dances ! More and more the Quinces are going away from this and just dancing to more popular music or what they like and not making it so complicated where they have to learn special dances ! Also the birthday girl usually wears a very formal dress that may resemble a wedding gown look or even sometimes they get more colorful and have the big round dress look at the bottom ! Anyway they are super fun and if you have a chance to attend one you should! Thanks ANABEL for allowing us to share in your special day !

FEATURED WEDDING in April at Gainey Ranch Golf Club

 Kweilen & Wynston were married on April 3rd 2010 at GAINEY Ranch in Scottsdale ! Let me just say she is one of the most prepared brides I have met to date !  Kweilin is one of the most gorgeous brides as you will see in the photos and she just looked stunning on her wedding day ! She was so relaxed and not nervous at all ! I think she was just super excited to see Wynston when she walked down the aisle !

This Picture of the couple was taken at the entrance of Gainey Ranch - They have some amazing places to have pictures made throughout the property ! There are fountains and golf green ways and courtyards and views of mounatains ! The property just has it all when your looking for a wonderful venue to have a great wedding and great photography !

Here is a snapshot of some of the guest enjoying themselves in the Photo Booth - I think it took a few minutes for the guest to figure out what to do but once they started they did not stop !

APRIL IS IMMUNE DISEASE AWARENESS MONTH

ok its a little off subject from weddings but in our house its important so we  thought we would share something personal about whats important to Juan & I ! This month is immune disease awareness month which is not a very sexy disease , doesn't have a special ribbon or celebrity thats always talking about it but our Mason fights this every day of his life !

Mason has Common Variable Immune Deficiency and receives IVIG treatment every 3 weeks to help him stay healthy ! Many nurse's  or medical professionals will know what this is !  If you have time to learn more about this disease feel free to ask us or read about it online ! Children and Adults who are unable to have a healthy immune system to help fight infections and colds is a CVID condition !

ELVIS FANS YOU DONT HAVE TO DRIVE TO VEGAS TO GET MARRIED !

ABOUT A MONTH AGO JUAN AND THE KIDS AND MYSELF ( STEPHANIE) TOOK OFF FOR A FUN FILLED DAY WITH THE KIDS AND DROVE UP TO THE LAKE ABOVE APACHE JUNCTION OR ON THE OTHER SIDE OF SUPERSTITION MOUNTAIN ! WE HAD LUNCH , WATCHED  THE BOATS AND LISTENED TO OUR TWINS TRY TO CONVINCE US TO GO ON A 2 HOUR BOAT RIDE ON THE DOLLY BOAT WITH THEM ! THEY DID A GREAT JOB WITH ALL THE REASONS WHY WE SHOULD BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN !

ON THE WAY BACK DOWN THE MOUNTAIN THEY NOTICED THIS CHAPEL OR A CHURCH LOOKING STRUCTURE AND LOTS OF PEOPLE WALKING AROUND, WE STOPPED TO SEE WHAT ALL THE FUSS WAS ABOUT !  THE CHAPEL IS THE ELVIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL THAT WAS USED TO FILM LOTS OF MOVIES IN APACHE LAND !  IT HAS BEEN THROUGH 2 FIRES AND MOVED A FEW TIMES AND NOW SITS ON THE PROPERTY OF THE SUPERSTITION MOUNTAIN MUSEUM LAND ! THEY ACTUALLY RENT IT OUT FOR SMALL WEDDINGS ! IM NOT SURE IF THEY HAVE A IN HOUSE ELVIS TO MARRY YOU BUT HEY IM SURE YOU CAN FIND ONE IN PHOENIX SOMEWHERE ! IT WOULD BE A WONDERFUL PLACE TO HOLD A VERY SMALL INTIMATE WEDDING ON A BUDGET AND WOULD BE FUN !

THERE IS AN OUTDOOR SPACE AS WELL ON THE PROPERTY THAT HAS SPACE IF YOU WANTED TO DO A OUTDOOR CEREMONY OR RECEPTION !

SOMETHING FUN , I HOPE YOU CAN TRAVEL THERE AND SEE THE PLACE WHEN YOU HAVE TIME !

FEATURED WEDDING in March at EAGLE CLUB in Fountain Hills

This is one of Stephanie's favorite venues so I thought I would feature it this month and the wedding we had there with Cassie & Bryan on March 20th 2010 ! It has been years since we have been here and yes it has changed - Eagle Club has remodeled and made its outdoor venue that overlooks million dollar homes an indoor venue that can be used through out the year !

The ceremony site is one of my favorites - I love the 2 old large trees that you see in the picture and if you get really close and look down  you are looking at a small lake and gorgeous homes !  It is a golf course venue so it has great potential for lots of wonderful green pictures to be snapped !

Our Emcee/ Dj Joe Matras had the honors to be their Emcee /Dj that night and what a fabulous time everyone had ! Joe worked with Mary Sandy from Photos By Mary who provided the pictures Im posting who we just love to work with !

Featured Wedding in March with The Newlyweds -

First of all , I want to say how much fun we enjoyed your wedding and meeting the two of you Alexis & Jay and your special little ones on your big day !  I have to say its hard to have a first when you have done so many weddings and I think we had more than a few first at your wedding !

It was so special Jay of you to want to sing to your bride and really let her know how you feel ! That was awesome  and I think everyone in the room really enjoyed that !  The second fun first was the amazing MILK SHAKE STATION - OMG - That was so neat and the guest loved it !  KUDOS to your wedding planning Regina from Meant 2 BE Events with all the wonderful and unique ideas and decor she helped make your wedding so special !

I have seen this in the past and kept saying what a great idea for a bride to mention it to her bridesmaid or the one who complain about the dress they have to buy for the wedding to have them donate it to a organization who helps young teens who cant afford to buy a prom dress ! We have one here in the East Valley of Phoenix!

The Cinderella Affair is a non - profit organization supported by the Tempe Community Council and collects dresses year round , Its the mission to make prom an affordable event for all high school seniors that would like to attend!  To help support this charity please call the Tempe Community Council at 480 - 858-2300!

I also think they will accept other donations like shoes and hair peices and fun stuff that these girls can use for prom !

LIGHTS LIGHTS LIGHTS - IM TALKING DECOR LIGHTING

Its been awhile since I have had some time to post anything on our blog - We do apoligize but Im back and I wanted to talk about lighting this month  - Our wedding package of course come with lighting that is sound activated by the music when the dancing starts ! This is a crowd motivator to get people dancing and works most of the time as long as the music is good as well ! There is another lighting that you may have heard of or seen and wondered where is that coming from ! Im talking about the lighting that lights walls, collums, anything in a room that may stand out that needs some light - you can also hang sheers from the ceiling and light them ! This is awesome when done properly and can really turn the room or venue into something magical ! We have LED LIGHTING NOW and have a special on it for the spring !
