OK WHAT KIND OF BLOG STARTS OFF WITH TICK TOCK TICK TOCK -  THIS BLOG IS TO HELP THOSE BRIDES OUT THERE THAT ARE IN THE INITIAL PLANNING STAGES OF THEIR SPECIAL DAY ! IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT VENUES FOR THE SPRING OF NEXT YEAR AT THIS POINT I WOULD HIGLY RECOMMEND NOT ONLY LOOKING AT VENUES BUT START TO NARROW DOWN YOUR VENDORS OR THE ONES WHO YOU HAVE TO HAVE ! PHOTOGRAPHERS , DISC JOCKEY OR WEDDING OFFICIANT OR YOUR PLANNER -

MANY DATES ARE BOOKED OUT A YEAR OR SO IN ADVANCE AND SATURDAYS FILL UP FAST ESPECIALLY IN SEASON IN PHOENIX !  WHEN YOUR THINKING OF A VENUE OR A PLACE TO GET MARRIED YOU WILL NEED TO START A LIST OF WHATS INCLUDED AND WHAT VENDORS YOU WILL NEED TO BRING IN - HOW WILL YOU FIND THEM OR WHO IS GOOD THAT YOU WILL CLICK WITH AND WHAT TO BE PART OF YOUR SPECIAL DAY !

THE VENDORS SOMETIMES ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE VENUE  -

1. THINK ABOUT WHOS WEDDING YOU WERE AT LAST - WERE THE VENDORS AWESOME

2. ASK FOR REFERRALS

3. READ REVIEWS ON WEBSITES

4. INTERVIEW THEM AND ASK QUESTIONS

5. YOU MUST LIKE THE PERSON WHO WILL BE AT YOUR WEDDING

WEDDING GUEST DO's & DONT's

You have planned the most wonderful day for your future husband and your self and not to mention all the hard work and money it is to plan such a special day ! There are a few pet peeves that most people have and Im sure some of you can relate on wedding guest do's and dont's !

1.RSVP - Ok this is so easy and so important - Its so easy to take the time to mail the card back in , it even comes with stamp usually and an address so all you have to do is pop it in the mail !  One other thing the card is addressed to who is invited - If it says Mr. & Mrs. Smith - It means the 2 of you and not your neighbors or your kids !

2 - OUR BIGGEST PET PEEVE is RESPECT - The invitation gives a time  and location and usually the ceremony starts on time within minutes from the time posted on the invite ! If you are late then maybe just stay on the side and watch the Ceremony instead of walking in the middle of it !  Every now and then you have someone also recording a video just for fun or maybe they were asked to by a parent - Did you ever think if You are not a pro and don't know what your doing your going to be in all the professional photographers full photo images ! Its just crazy !  I see this all the time and I know the couple most likely never thought that the friend would be in the way but they are ! 

3. TREAT THE WEDDING as if it was yours.  - Be respectful of the special day the couple is having and make sure and now your limits. It does not happen often but a few times we have seen some guest get out of control and say strange things during the speeches or drink to much and fall down and they have to be rushed to the hospital. Just be careful and make sure your not the guest everyone is talking about and so and so's wedding.  Also one thing a bride really does not want to hear is how you would have done things ! Just compliment her and it will go along way !

QUINCE QUINCE QUINCETTA - SO MUCH FUN !

We had the honor to be part of Miss Anabel Lopez Quincetta last week ! A young girl from Seton High in the suburbs of Phoenix !  I thought it would be something that people who may not have ever heard of a Qunicetta or have been to one learn more about this Spanish culture or party that most young latin girls dream about growing  up !  A quince short for Quincetta is a party that is thrown when a young girl turns 15 and she celebrates coming of age or a coming out party ! There is a special mass usually in the catholic church that familiy and close friends will attend !  Sometimes the mass can be held outside a church but usually its held at the parish where the family attends !  Many traditions will pair up the girls with friends who are boys their age and they will dance a few custom dances ! More and more the Quinces are going away from this and just dancing to more popular music or what they like and not making it so complicated where they have to learn special dances ! Also the birthday girl usually wears a very formal dress that may resemble a wedding gown look or even sometimes they get more colorful and have the big round dress look at the bottom ! Anyway they are super fun and if you have a chance to attend one you should! Thanks ANABEL for allowing us to share in your special day !

OK  SO EVERYONE HAS A LIST THATS A VENUE THAT IS A PREFERRED VENDOR LIST THAT THEY RECOMMEND TO COUPLES GETTING MARRIED -  WE ARE ON MANY OF THE VENUES LIST THROUGH OUT THE VALLEY AND WE LOVE THAT ! BUT ALSO REMEMBER THE VENUE YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED AT WORKS WITH A LOT OF THE SAME PEOPLE ALL THE TIME SO WHY NOT ASK YOUR INDIVIDUAL VENDORS, DJ'S, PHOTOGRAPHERS, OFFICIANT IF THEY RECOMMEND - WE SEE SO MANY DIFFERENT VENDORS AS A DJ COMPANY WE HAVE OUR OWN LIST ! IF YOU ARE A BOOKED CLIENT AND NEED HELP WITH ANY VENDORS - CONTACT US OR ASK US IN OUR INTERVIEWS WE CAN HELP - JUST ASK ! I THINK ITS BETTER TO ASK OTHER VENDORS OPINIONS ESPECIALLY SINCE WE SEE SO MANY !

FEATURED WEDDING in April at Gainey Ranch Golf Club

 Kweilen & Wynston were married on April 3rd 2010 at GAINEY Ranch in Scottsdale ! Let me just say she is one of the most prepared brides I have met to date !  Kweilin is one of the most gorgeous brides as you will see in the photos and she just looked stunning on her wedding day ! She was so relaxed and not nervous at all ! I think she was just super excited to see Wynston when she walked down the aisle !

This Picture of the couple was taken at the entrance of Gainey Ranch - They have some amazing places to have pictures made throughout the property ! There are fountains and golf green ways and courtyards and views of mounatains ! The property just has it all when your looking for a wonderful venue to have a great wedding and great photography !

Here is a snapshot of some of the guest enjoying themselves in the Photo Booth - I think it took a few minutes for the guest to figure out what to do but once they started they did not stop !

One of my favorite pictures of the day ! FOTO VERDE ( Rich & Mindi ) were the photographers and worked with us on the wedding ! They are newer to the Phoenix area and come with lots of wedding expeirience from  NEW YORK . We were so  very happy to be part of your specials day !

APRIL IS IMMUNE DISEASE AWARENESS MONTH

ok its a little off subject from weddings but in our house its important so we  thought we would share something personal about whats important to Juan & I ! This month is immune disease awareness month which is not a very sexy disease , doesn't have a special ribbon or celebrity thats always talking about it but our Mason fights this every day of his life !

Mason has Common Variable Immune Deficiency and receives IVIG treatment every 3 weeks to help him stay healthy ! Many nurse's  or medical professionals will know what this is !  If you have time to learn more about this disease feel free to ask us or read about it online ! Children and Adults who are unable to have a healthy immune system to help fight infections and colds is a CVID condition !
